My name is Finn Aberdein. I work as a producer, director, journalist, writer and presenter across TV, radio and digital. I'm currently with the BBC World Service.
Originally from Scotland's rugged, remote Orkney Islands, I've spent much of my career between London and Asia, making documentaries and running media projects.
I've been lucky enough to produce several films in China - which keeps my Mandarin from getting too rusty, and helps keep my finger on the pulse of a country which is reshaping the world.
